·    Inspired Me...

·      Author:Rafael Natividad

At first, music was not something that I had an intrest in. I mean, the listening part of music is cool, but actually playing an instrument was not something I had in mind. But it all started just a few years ago. My dad finally decided to enroll me in piano without letting me even know about it. Yes I was nervous, but then I thought, " I guess this is a start". I go to my very first lesson, and I meet Irene Leung. First reactions were, she seems very friendly. As soon as she started to play the piano, I just couldn't take my hands off the keys. My lessons with her are so much fun. Now everytime I come to piano, I come with a smile on my face knowing that Irene has inspired me to keep on continuing to play the piano. I couldn't have asked for a better teacher.

 My Piano Teacher

·         Author: Tina Pascale

I remember the first time I walked into Arcadia to sign up for the introductory offer quick start for new students. My mother told me to try it out, and later decide if i wanted to sign up for more sessions. I always wanted to play the piano, but I had no experience at all. That was the day I met Irene Leung. She introduced herself and immediately made me feel at ease. I walked into her room and this beautiful piano was staring at me. I was horrified! Irene asked me a few questions and decided that I knew more than she thought about notes and music. I have now been playing the piano for about one year and I absolutely love it. I changed my sessions from once a week to twice a week and sometimes for longer and hour instead of half an hour. Well, the best part is that my parents bought me a piano for my birthday. I thank Irene for that too! I practise everyday and my family really enjoys it. I will be competing at musicfest 2011 this year because of the confidence and hard work Irene has helped me with. Thank You

Music is the life of soul

·         Author:Sreenivasa Sunku

My daughter started learning Piano from Irene Leung when she was 4. She started it as just a hobby and after attending first few lessons, she exhibited keen interest in learning Piano and secured first prize (at the age of 4) and third prize at the age of (5) at the local Richmond Hill Arcadia music academy. Irene personifies a true teacher or Guru, where she knows the strengths of her student(s) along with the developmental needs, and helps them with appropriate guidance, coaching and steering them in the right direction. As a matter of fact, my daughter loves playing piano and now it is a part of her daily life, and recently she participated in an audition in her class and was chosen for the school talent show (and fortunately she was the only student from her class who was chosen after the audition) for performing at the talent show in her school. This is a great testament for Irene's ability to instill confidence, discipline and diligence in her students from such a small age. A nomination like this is simply not enough to recognize her, and wanted to thank her a lot and hope she wins this award.

·      Irene Leung: The World's Best Music Teacher - Guaranteed!

       Author: Laura Irish

About two years ago, after an unsuccessful year of dull piano classes with numerous different teachers, I felt that my piano career would to come to an end. I was heartbroken because I couldn't find the right teacher. But something in the back of my head told me I couldn’t quit now, so I got my parents to register me again at the piano studio where my music career had began, and that was how I found Irene. My first few weeks in her class were a little quiet, but as I got to know her more, her fun-loving personality came out! She is such an entertaining, inspirational, and motivational person! Her amount of patience is astonishing, she is a really understanding person, and she has a huge heart. This is why I think she is the most fantastic music teacher ever! She knows the BEST techniques on how to improve my technique and ear-training skills, and she creates imaginative stories for all of my pieces so that I can "feel the music" to play them better. I never realized how enormous my passion for music is until Irene shared her passion with me, and I thank her for that.
